Murano (Venice), Italy.
This series started as a commission by BTM, a team based in Murano providing various services in the glass sector such as production, design, communication and consulting.
My task was to depict the general context where BTM works.
At the end of the assignment I decided it was worth to continue exploring the seven little islands forming Murano.
Obviously I was fascinated by the glassmaking production, but I was also very interested in the Tourism perspective which has been constantly increasing.
I didn’t want the glass to be too evident in the pictures. However, even if I tried to show it in moderation, the glass is always present as it has been for more than seven centuries in Murano’s life.
