Peanuts
In late 2013 Thailand faced the umpteenth political crisis.
The People’s Democratic Reform Committee, the so-called “Yellow Shirts”, occupied the streets of Bangkok for seven months.
While I was following the anti-government protests I noticed that the demonstrators were using packaging papers, mostly of peanuts, to lie down and for other practical purposes.
Thus, I decided to collect them and take some portraits of the Yellow Shirts. I set up a makeshift studio inside Lumpini Park, where the demonstrators gathered during the last month of the protests, using the peanuts’ papers as backgrounds for the pictures.
